This metal extension boosts your mount an additional 6.3" in height, enabling for more room to observe through long telescopes, like a refractor. The AZ-EQ5 Pier Extension is painted white to match the AZ-EQ5 mount, and is mounted between the tripod or pier and the mount itself.
