This Explore Scientific H-Beta is a line filter that only transmits the hydrogen-beta line, thereby blocking all other wavelengths. Hydrogen is the most common element in the Universe, and many nebulae shine brightly in the light of H-Beta.
The Explore Scientific 2" H-Beta Filter has a transmission of 94.5% from 478nm to 496nm. Peak transmission is 489nm. This filter is mounted in a 2" metal cell and fits all standard 2" eyepieces and filter wheels.
