The Explore Scientific 14 mm 62º Series™ eyepiece is an excellent multi-element flat-field eyepiece that will revolutionize your experience with visual astronomy. This ocular is an amazing value and packed with features such as a 62 degree apparent field of view and a close to parfocal design.
An additional advantage of this eyepiece is its stellar contrast that allows you to look slightly to either side of an object, rather than restricting you to only gazing directly at it. This ability, termed using averted vision, is especially beneficial when viewing faint objects, since using averted vision places the image on an area of your eye that has more light sensitivity, enabling fainter images to become more apparent.
